When I was in high school, I played the xylophone (yep band nerd, get your jokes ready now). Every year, my school would take us to these regional tryouts where we would compete with other high school band members. Some people would come and go, but there was this one girl who was always at the tryouts, my friend Virginia.
I won’t go into all of the details, but as we got older we became better friends and I even took her to my school’s junior prom! But after high school we both sort of went out own ways, but always kept up with each other on social media. Fast forward 12 years and she writes me telling me that she’s getting married and that she wants me to come down to the Virgin Islands and photograph everything.
After some serious arm twisting, I finally agreed to shoot her wedding in paradise (he said super jokingly) and it was an absolutely lovely experience. Not only did I get to catch up with my old friend, but Jessica and I got to stay at her fiance’s family beach house that was just hecking gorgeous (check the previous blog post for a photo of the house!).
Anyway, I’ll shut up and get to the photos. These are memories I’m going cherish for the rest of my life!!
