While I was in Saint Thomas, I decided to fly my drone up at night (I know I know, it’s normally dangerous, but it was a pretty remote location so I didn’t feel like I needed to be overly cautious). I found that the drone was just about steady enough to capture long exposure shots. I have always been a big fan of long exposure photography. Time almost seems to flow a bit different with long exposure shots. I’ve seen some images on the internet where things that are seemingly completely still and immovable are actually flowing, such as glaciers.
So there isn’t much I wanted to say in this post, I just wanted to share this neat image. I hope to one day get back to shooting more long exposure shots with my drone, hopefully in an area with much less wind than this location, so I can increase the exposure time and quality!
Saint Thomas Langarra Estate
Just wanted to quickly update with how AWESOME this place is. Highly recommend staying at this estate if you plan to visit. Be sure to bring some friends because they have 5 bedrooms, each with air con and restrooms! I’ll be updating the blog again soon with some photos from the wedding I’ll be shooting here tomorrow!!!
